A federal appeals court has rejected claims by three teachers that Education Minnesota must pay refunds and damages for collecting “fair-share” fees for the 40 years before June 2018, when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the practice was unconstitutional.  

Education Minnesota has endorsed Jeff Ettinger’s campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives from Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District in southern Minnesota.

Education Minnesota has endorsed 57 candidates for the Minnesota Legislature, including six members of the union. 

Education Minnesota responded Friday to the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a nearly 50-year-old precedent set out in Roe. v. Wade that protected abortion rights.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a 6-3 decision in Carson v. Makin that brings America one step closer to taxpayer-funded religious schools that may discriminate against some students based on how they learn or who they love.
