The 2020 MEA conference was held virtually Oct. 15 with nearly 30 live sessions, and many online asynchronous classes available for educators.
Nominations open Oct. 1 for the 2021 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award, and remain open through Nov. 15.
Applications for Education Minnesota’s part-time field staff program are now open. The program serves as a step for members to increase their union activism by taking on a part-time Education Minnesota staff role.
The Education Minnesota Foundation for Excellence in Teaching and Learning has multiple grants with a deadline approaching. For details about the grants and how to apply, go to www.edmnfoundation.org. There’s a grant waiting for you!
Education Minnesota is working on moving professional development offerings online.
As of press time, the Minnesota State Fair is scheduled to go on as usual, although that may change as the COVID-19 response continues.
