ST. PAUL, Minnesota. July 3, 2024 – Education Minnesota has endorsed Dr. Kelly Morrison’s campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional District.
As part of the endorsement process, more than a dozen local educators interviewed Morrison, who resigned from the state Senate in June. Their unanimous recommendation was approved by the political action committees of the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association.
“Educators are fired up and ready to elect Kelly Morrison to Congress because she shares our belief that every Minnesota family deserves access to an excellent education for their children,” said Denise Specht, president of Education Minnesota. “During her time in the state Legislature, she helped pass historic funding increases for the littlest learners, college students, and everyone in between. She will be a formidable advocate in the House for public education, and we look forward to working with her.”
Education Minnesota announced in February its endorsement of the reelection campaigns of U.S. Reps. Angie Craig, Betty McCollum and Ilhan Omar.
More endorsements for state and federal races will be announced later this summer.
