ST. PAUL, Minnesota. Jan. 27, 2025 – Education Minnesota announced its endorsement of Doron Clark in the special election on Tuesday for the Senate seat in Minneapolis formerly held by Sen. Kari Dziedzic, who passed away in December.

The union endorses candidates for the state Legislature after they fill out a questionnaire and screen with local educators about the candidate’s views on public education.

Educators support Clark in Senate District 60 because they agree that the state of Minnesota needs to fully fund public education, raise compensation for educators to relieve the educator shortage, pay for more of the costs of providing services to the neediest students and expand the full-service community schools model, a proven way to shrink opportunity gaps, to more districts in Minnesota.
