ST. PAUL, Minnesota. Jan. 24, 2026 – Education Minnesota called on Saturday for the White House to withdraw federal forces from Minnesota after Minneapolis police say federal agents shot and killed another Minnesotan, this time outside a popular Minneapolis donut shop.
“Yesterday, tens of thousands of Minnesota rallied peacefully for ICE to leave Minnesota and today another Minnesotan was shot and killed by federal agents,” said Monica Byron, president of Education Minnesota. “This vendetta against our state and its people is disruptive, cruel and entirely unnecessary. It’s time for ICE to leave Minnesota, so our streets can be safe again, our communities can heal and our schools can return to normal.”
