State Fair Volunteer Request Form

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for a shift at the Education Minnesota State Fair Photo Calendar Booth. We have a few new processes this year. Please read this form in its entirety.

Your shift is not confirmed until you receive an email with your assigned shift that will be sent after Aug. 1, 2025.

Please note that the first shift of the day and the first five days of the fair receive the most requests. If you can request a date later in the day and later in the fair your chances of being selected will be higher.

If you’re selected for a volunteer shift, Education Minnesota will:

• REIMBURSE one ticket to the Minnesota State Fair for the day of your shift.
  NEW in 2025. You must purchase your ticket and submit the original stub along with your expense form. Education Minnesota will reimburse the ticket. If you are a non-member spouse you may submit your reimbursement on the member spouse’s expense form.
  YOU MUST SUBMIT ORIGINAL ITEMIZED RECEIPTS AND TICKET STUBS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT.
• Provide a new T-shirt, if requested. All volunteers must wear an EdMN state fair T-shirt while in the booth, but shirts from previous years are acceptable.
• Reimburse members who complete an expense report for mileage at $0.20 cents per mile plus parking up to $20. Rideshare and bus expenses can be submitted in lieu of parking with reimbursment up to $20.
• Provide water at the booth for volunteers.

Only members and non-member spouses/partners will be approved for booth volunteer shifts.
