What issue are you most looking forward to working on as a Governing Board member?
I’m most looking forward to working on issues that support and elevate the teaching profession. I believe strongly in the value of public education and the critical role that committed, well-supported educators in schools play in student success.

What is your favorite thing about being an educator?
Connecting with my students in the classroom!

Outside of the classroom, what’s something you like to do?
I enjoy playing guitar in my band, watching the Chicago Cubs, fly fishing, camping, but most of all spending time with my wife, two kids, and our dog!

How have you worked in union to overcome a professional challenge?
Working through the grievance process with both building and district level administrators to create a schedule that would follow the word of our contract.
