May Day Events

International Worker’s Day (aka May Day) is just around the corner and it will be a day of rallies, marches, teach-ins, walkouts and many other actions all across the country. We have seen time and again that when workers and communities organize, care for each other and apply collective pressure together, we can win on anything.

  SPFE members are encouraged to participate in this Civic Day of Action at the level in which they feel comfortable. Some will call in sick, some will boycott shopping, some will participate in the march at 4:30 PM on Lake Street in Minneapolis. Some may do multiple things. For those choosing to stay at work, we are sharing the May Day Teaching resources and encouraging everyone do use some aspect to educate our students.
