On Friday, Jan. 23, we’re asking Education Minnesota members across the state to take part in a statewide Day of Action to demand ICE stay away from our schools.

There are many different ways you can participate:

• Wear blue
• Post a picture or video on social media
  • January 23 Social Media Guide
• Organize a building-level event at your school outside of your duty day*
• Participate in a community action outside of your duty day*
• Participate in the Day of Prayer and Fasting for Truth and Freedom
• Refrain from shopping online or in person that day
• Attend the 2 p.m. march in downtown Minneapolis that day (only if classes are cancelled for your school or district or you are not scheduled to work at this time)*

* Because almost all of our local affiliates are subject to PELRA and/or contract language that would not allow a work stoppage on Jan. 23, we are encouraging members and locals to participate in actions outside of their duty day only.
