In addition to the important union work, a big part of the RA is raising money for the NEA Fund for Children and Public Education, the federal political action committee that NEA uses to fund pro-public education candidates. The funds that we raise in 2026 will be instrumental in electing a pro-public education to take back the U.S. Senate and House! The money you help raise in 2026 will build momentum to a successful mid-term election!

The NEA and Education Minnesota would like all delegates to start raising contributions from colleagues for the NEA Fund for Children and Public Education. 

Fundraising goals

1. Raise an average of $200 in contributions per delegate.
2. Recruit five members to sign up for a $10 a month recurring contribution using your PACtivist page.

Notes:

• Those using payroll deduction must email a copy of the signed payroll deduction card to jim.meyer@edmn.org.
• The following locals have payroll deduction for the NEA Fund: Alexandria, Burnsville, Centennial, Chaska, Dover-Eyota, Eden Prairie, Farmington, Hastings, Milaca, Mounds View, Park Rapids, Plainview-Elgin-Millville, Rochester, Roseville, Stewartville, Stillwater and Winona.
  • If you need payroll deduction cards, talk to your local president or contact Jim Meyer.

Other information:

• Delegates who sign up five recurring contributors at $10 per month or more (PACtivist or payroll deduction) will have met their $200 RA fundraising goal.
• If you are a delegate every year to the NEA RA and the contributor keeps the contributions coming, you will be credited $60 for a $5 per month contribution for the 2027 RA (12 months x $5 per month contribution).
