ST. PAUL, Minnesota. May 6, 2026 — Education Minnesota has endorsed the reelection campaign of U.S. Rep. Kelly Morrison in Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional District.

Educators from the district interviewed Morrison during the endorsement process. The recommendation was accepted or approved by the political action committees of the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association.

U.S. Rep. Kelly Morrison, 3rd Congressional District
“Kelly Morrison understands that public schools prepare Minnesota’s children to pursue their dreams, regardless of where they live, what they look like or what their family earns,” said Monica Byron, president of Education Minnesota. “She fought hard against the Republican budget that cut Medicaid, siphoned taxpayer dollars into private school vouchers, slashed the programs working families depend on and handed massive tax cuts to the wealthy. Minnesotans who care about public schools and support working people over billionaires should send Kelly Morrison back to Congress.”

Morrison has represented Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional District since January 2025. During six years in the Minnesota Legislature, she passed more than 90 bills and advocated for mental health support in schools and lower prescription drug costs. In Congress, she introduced 12 amendments and testified before the House Rules Committee as she fought against President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, which enacted the largest cut to Medicaid in the nation’s history, created the first-ever federal private school voucher program, imposed deep cuts to education funding and delivered massive tax cuts to the wealthy.

Education Minnesota will announce more federal and state endorsements this spring and summer.
