Thank you for your continued work on behalf of your members. A new membership year is here and we need to update your local dues. Because of new legislation, this is more critical than in past years.

We only need one submission per local. Please communicate with each other at the local level to determine which person from your local will complete the form.

Enter the annual LOCAL DUES amount an individual would pay for each membership level listed below. This assumes an individual worked the entire school year at that level. Enter in the annual local dues amount per each level, even if your local does not have a current member working in that level.

For example: An individual signed their application on April 18. Based on the signature date, they would owe 41.67% of the full local dues obligation, based on the Education Minnesota proration chart.

Dues proration

Dues proration is an adjustment of the member’s total dues obligation based on the signature date of their application. Education Minnesota, the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association prorate their dues according to the monthly percentage chart below.
