ST. PAUL, Minn. March 26, 2024 – Education Minnesota President Denise Specht reacted Tuesday evening to Gov. Tim Walz’s State of the State speech from the new Owatonna High School.
“Gov. Walz presented his vision for a better future for all Minnesotans by focusing on the state’s children – their education, their families, their homes and their safety,” Specht said. “We’re ready to keep working with the governor and lieutenant governor as we strive to make Minnesota the best state for students and the people who educate them, no matter where they live, what they look like, or who they love. When Minnesota recruits and retains educators with better pay, pensions and health care, it builds a strong foundation for the next generation of Minnesotans and all the generations after that.”
