Metro West UniServ
Metro West UniServ is a group of teacher and ESP local unions working together on education issues of common interest in the West Metro.
We are one of 21 intermediate organizations (IOs) across the state.

- September 21 (invite staff to give legislative update)
- October 26 (negotiations update) **Beth will need someone to take notes!
- November 16 (Meet & Greet)
- Katy will be inviting the elected leaders of each local, work on building bridges
- December (no meeting)
- January 18 (virtual) (invite EdMN officers to the meeting)
- February 15 (virtual)
- March 21 (legislative update from mini session)
- April 18 (RA) ED MN Edina
- May 16 (Luce Line) *will rent the room space for $300
How does the UniServ help me?
- UniServ is a link between Education Minnesota and our local.
- UniServ support and supplement the activities of the locals.
- UniServ offers free training opportunities to strengthen, promote, and advance the teaching profession such as; The Cycle of Seven for relicensure, new teachers, member rights, continuing education, negotiating, grassroots advocacy, treasurer, etc.
- UniServ reimburses locals up to five registrations for the Summer Seminar, the Law Conference and the Negotiations Conference.
- UniServ reimburses 50% of local training costs, up to $1,000.00.
- We share stories and challenges happening in our locals.
- UniServ meets monthly with Education Minnesota board members and field staff who constantly run interference for our members.
- We lobby together for lower class size, staff development, better working conditions, etc…
- We share resources like busses and transportation to events, ideas for negotiation, membership strategies and much more!
