ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 4, 2015 – Education Minnesota Vice President Paul Mueller released the following statement in response to the results of the school elections on Tuesday.
“The coalition of parents, neighborhood leaders and educators in St. Paul had a great night; all four of their candidates won. The same cooperation was behind victories in levy campaigns in Owatonna, South Washington County and Rosemount-Eagan-Apple Valley, to name just a few,” Mueller said. “It shows what can happen when people inside and outside the schools work together for the benefit of their community’s children.”
"There's no better way to get the voice of professional educators heard than to run for a seat at the table. We thank all the current and former educators who decided to run, and we congratulate all those who won Tuesday, including school board candidates in Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan, Bloomington, Richfield, White Bear Lake and Duluth," Mueller said. "Your service is appreciated by every educator still working face-to-face with Minnesota students."
