ST. PAUL, Minnesota. Feb. 11, 2020 – Education Minnesota has endorsed U.S. Rep. Angie Craig's campaign for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives.

"Education Minnesota is proud to endorse Angie Craig’s reelection campaign for Congress,” said Denise Specht, president of Education Minnesota. “We need more representatives in Washington like Angie Craig, who will advocate for the federal government to pay for the full funding of its obligations to students with special needs. Minnesota students have waited long enough for the federal government to pay its share of special education costs. Her bill (the Individuals With Disabilities Education Full Funding Act) would send tens of millions of dollars back to Minnesota schools that desperately need it."

A committee of local educators from Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District interviewed Craig, a Democrat, during the endorsement process, which included approval from the political action committees of the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association.
