Schools that are identified now begin a one-year planning period. School improvement teams will be formed at each school identified for comprehensive or targeted support. Those teams will work with the state's Regional Centers of Excellence to conduct a Comprehensive Needs Assessment using input from educators, students and their families before developing a school improvement plan.

Schools then have two years to start implementing those plans.
